"If you are looking to roll around in the dirt and change mags with one disabled arm, you may be taking the wrong class. This class is for everyday people who want to learn about basic firearm safety and education. Our goal is getting our students on the right path towards owning and using firearms in a safe and responsible manner. Our aim is to remove the intimidation factor from the equation."

ABOUT R2B
R2B is a mobile firearm safety service in Southern Califorina that targets new potential gun owners. Going to a gun store or shooting range for the first time can be very intimidating. R2B gives potential first time gun owners a private as well as comfortable place to learn proper gun terminology and etiquette as well as basic firearm safety.
If you are a business owner or a person that wants to protect yourself and or your family in a safe manner, R2B is perfect for you. Our goal is simple, If we can prevent just one mis-use of a firearm, then we have accomplished what we set out to do!
The Firearms Safety Certification Test is required to purchase a firearm in the state of California. Our team of Certified Safety Instructors will give students the necessary information needed to take and pass the test. Once the class is completed, students will have the knowledge to perform safety demonstrations as well as perform basic firearm manipulations.
When students complete the class and make their first visit to their local gun shop, they will have the tools to make an educated purchase.
These tools include but are not limited to:
1. Fit - How does the firearm fit your hand?
- How does it feel in your hand?
- How is the weight of the firearm in your hand?
- How is the length of pull? (length from shoulder to trigger)
2. Type - What type of firearm are you looking for?
- Handguns: semi auto, single action, double action.
- Revolver: single action or double action.
- Shotguns: pump action, semi auto, over under, or side by side.
- Rifle: semi auto, bolt action, or lever action.
3. Purpose - What is your intended use?
- Home defense?
- Recreational?
4. Cost - How much do you want to invest?
- Not all firearms that are expensive are necessarily better than their less expensive competitors.
Although there is a lot more to cover including firearm terminology and proper gun etiquette, just knowing what you are looking for, as well as what you are talking about, will make your gun store experience more enjoyable.
Going to a gun store should be fun and exciting, NOT intimidating.
